Gallery Gift Boxes - Gifts on the Go

A little side attraction at Midwest Frame and Gallery are... Gallery Gift Boxes!! These little treasures show off a few of my favorite things.

The concept comes from my pursuit of being organized. It's an ongoing battle as I balance being a wife, mom, sister, business owner, (non-stop renovator), etc.. We are all torn in many directions, my list isn't as long as others, but we all experience the balancing act to different degrees.

In my quest, I learned about gift closets. It doesn't have to be a closet, but the idea is you keep a stash of easily gift-able items. Candles and matches, linens and sachets, wine glasses with gift charms, whatever fits your personality, but the stash is kept together with wrapping items so you can put together a gift lickety-split. This method is supposed to cut back on last minute shopping saving you time and money.

I also learned about assembly line gifts, keeping basically all the same elements in various gifts. Six hand towels, with six bars of soap, with six soap dishes, on and on and on. Random items brought together become a little thoughtful gift.

Another personal preference is to recycle/upcycle items that others pass up. I love looking through antique stores and second hand shops for little things that might make up a bigger gift package. Little vases and little wine glasses are some of my favorites.

You're probably rolling your eyes, thinking I'm a gift nerd. Well, I am and I can't help myself... but others can gain from my nerdiness. (Is that a word? Oh well, it is now.)

So the Gallery Gift Box was born. $35 and you have a gift, boxed, tied with a bow and ready to go!

Here is the present selection. Who knows what I'll come up with next!

This one I think of as a desk set. The frame can be used for a personal photo, the inspirational book is either helpful or a great source for ironic laughs mid-day, and a little stationary... always good to have on hand!

This is a little more romantic. Add a favorite chocolate treat and call it good. But there is always a way to upgrade with a spa and/or massage gift certificate or dinner gift certificate. The boxes can be a gift within themselves, but aren't overstuffed so more can always be added.

We can't forget the dudes in our lives, so a 50's style pinup, a dude candle, a survival kit and a little booklet of sorts that pertains to the male/female knowledge (spoiler alert - it's blank inside!)

And a past picture: Christmas time and the display table was filled!
